Why the name Smith for our organization?
The name does not derive from any of our partners or associates. There is no Mr. or Ms. Smith leading our firm or living in our history. Instead, we consider ourselves smiths — in the traditional sense of the word. We are all smiths, as in wordsmith or blacksmith or goldsmith.
In centuries gone by, a smith was an artisan or craftsperson. Today, "smith" describes the role we fill for our clients. We design communication strategies that are practical and cost-efficient. We are dedicated to communicating to our clients' audiences with artistry and accuracy. And, we are committed to helping solve many of our clients' business challenges with straightforward, improved employee, marketing and corporate communication efforts.
Of course, the simplicity of our name also appeals to us. Easy to remember and perhaps the most basic of names in the English language. And, we believe, the definition of "smith" fits our consultants perfectly.
Smith (smith) n., a craftsperson or artisan. A recognized specialist in a
field that often requires years of apprenticeship to reach status or title.
